Two of Toronto's Freshest Stores!Fresh Baked Goods is a gem of a boutique in Toronto's famous Kensington Market. Going strong for over a decade, the shop is also the home of the clothing line, Fresh Baked Goods, made by me, Laura-Jean the Knitting Queen. Although I became famous for my fun and funky sweaters, I expanded into cotton print dresses, tops and skirts as well as other types of clothing and accessories. We have a sister store, Fresh Collective, on Toronto's Queen Street West, and both shops now operate as collectives, selling the work of a total of about 30 local designers. Members of the collectives share the expenses and work of running the shops, and it makes for a very creative, dynamic atmosphere in both shops. There is often work in progress on the desk, and new merchandise arrives daily, hot off the sewing machine, silkscreen table or jewellery bench! Because of the way we make things, the stock is always changing, and most items are one-of-a-kind. The designers are often able to alter pieces or offer custom work. Come down to either of our shops to poke around to find a gorgeous outfit that's just your style.
